After a long time and much planning the TAWPI Great Lakes Chapter's Spring 2009 meeting takes place at the Microsoft Regional Headquarters Center on Document & Check Imaging Best Practices.

The meeting starts 9:30am at 3025 Highland Parkway, Suite 300, Downers Grove, IL in meeting room MPR II with a Continental Breakfast with networking among GLC members and invited guests.
• 10am, Bill McGuckin, 2nd Vice President with American Chartered Bank will describe the value proposition for Rapid Capture Merchant - Check Imaging (aka remote deposit) along with how this impacts business services and cash management.
• 11am Paul Szemplinski, President & CEO of IDT Consulting will present the case for distributed, web-based document capture including how Fifth/Third Bank (5/3) has experienced this process using Software as a Service instead of an installed solution. Further discussion will look at how check scanners were selected.
• Noon we break for lunch and more networking.
• 1pm, Loyola University will present their case for document imaging, why the university choose this path, who the stakeholders have been in the project and what benefits have been realized after implementation was completed. What is the university's vision for the future.
• 2pm, Jim Brummer and Jeff Mattson with CFC Technology, and, Brian Bagan with Kodak will describe the changing face of rapid capture solutions and business continuity; and, more importantly, why you should care!!!
• 3pm, we'll adjorn until the Fall GLC meeting.
