Unique Business Problem: This well-known Utah based, waste-management, landfill and energy recovery facility was in need of an integrated ERP and Content Management solution.  With having to deal with continuous Federal and local EPA regulations being placed upon them, this organization needed a scalable ERP system that not only provided core, reliable financials with extensive reporting capabilities, but a solution that was:

• Content management enabled;
• DOD 5015.2/4 records management certified;
• A better way to facilitate the processing of purchase orders; and
• Imaged enabled, PO/Invoice/Receiving matching payment processing. 

It became very apparent they were in need of more than just a traditional ERP system and a traditional ERP solution provider – because their manual processes and paper were quickly getting out of control in this highly regulated environment.

Unique IDT Solution: To address those set of unique needs for this customer, IDT proposed Dynamics GP with Stellent Imaging and Business Process Management (IBPM).  Today, this customer has fully implemented the complete suite of Dynamics GP, automated all of their accounts payable processes, and tightly integrated Stellent IBPM with the help of IDT.  However, such unique capabilities requested by the prospect were clearly not functionality that could be delivered “out of the box.”  As a result, the IDT implementation team architected an approach that customized Dynamics GP in such a way without modifying the underlying Dynamics GP code base.  IDT’s approach not only solved the customer’s set of unique business problems, but IDT performed the customizations and integrations with the content management offering – Stellent – in a way that kept the standard Dynamics GP code base intact – ensuring that future upgrades delivered by Microsoft would never be a concern whether or not they would work for the customer.
