Pre-Sales Engineer
Job Description
The Pre-Sales Engineer develops and delivers technical presentations to our customers on the features, functions, benefits, and capabilities of our products. This position requires the ability to understand ECM solutions from multiple vendors and be capable of demonstrating the benefits of these technologies to meet a customer’s technical and business requirements. The Pre-Sales Engineer also works with the Project Manager during the transition from the sales cycle to system implementation to satisfy the client needs and communicate appropriate customer expectations.
Responsibilities
  • Work with Sales team to gather customer/prospect system requirements for the purpose of translating those requirements into a complete solution
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations to multiple audiences, up to C-level participants
  • Function as an active member of the IDT Sales team by providing technical information to both sales team and customers
  • Create and review Statements of Work based on customer requirements
  • Differentiate and qualify various solutions by listening to client requirements
  • Assist with RFP and RFI completion, trade shows and training seminars
  • Assist with the transfer of knowledge from Sales to Implementation team
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 2-3 years experience in a technical pre-sales position
  • Excellent communication, customer relations and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand the sales cycle
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills
  • Certification or technical experience in at least one of the following preferred: Document Imaging, ERP, CRM, Workflow, and Enterprise Content Management solutions
  • Certification in one of the following: CDIA+, MCSE, MCP, MCSA
